What is Coaching?
Coaching is a supportive, enabling, empowering relationship and activity that honours the autonomy, resourcefulness, creativity and responsibility of the client. It is goal, future or outcome oriented in purpose, and yet can include working with you in the domains of past as well as present to understand what may be hindering your potential. Psychosynthesis Coaching involves contracting with a qualified practitioner for 6 sessions of 1-2 hours duration over a 3 to 6 month period; one session every 2 to 4 weeks, tailored to your unfolding needs.
What is Psychosynthesis?
Psychosynthesis is a holistic model of psychology evolved by Roberto Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist and pioneer in the fields of humanistic and transpersonal psychology. Assagioli never claimed the model as his own work, he built upon and integrated the theories of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung into his famous Psychosynthesis Egg, or map of the psyche. Its simplicity has helped me to see where I am in my personal and professional life. Through its application to a Coaching framework I have found it easier to courageously move forward dispelling old fears and blocks, expanding my field of consciousness and becoming more whole and authentic along the way. Don't underestimate its simplicity, its profound and infinite, and just like the onion it has ongoing layers to reveal. Psychosynthesis provides a psycho-spiritual context and method that will help you work with issues of identity, purpose, meaning and values. It is a powerful coaching psychology that can help us connect with our inner resources, activate the will, strengthen our sense of self and develop our capacity for being in right relationship with others. It provides an accessible grammar for transformation through activating principles of wholeness and purpose, making it a living and evolving psychology for today. Psychosynthesis Coaching is an evolutionary professional relationship that responds to the emerging needs of individuals, leaders, organisations and society, integrating and absorbing the latest learning in psychology and related fields for example in neuroscience and neuropsychology, developmental psychology and integral philosophy, systemic and somatic coaching.
The Psychosynthesis Coach will focus on providing you with a supportive holding environment which assists you to realise your full potential and actualise yourself in the world. Additionally it can help you how to address issues of identity, purpose, meaning and values and negotiate crisis in whatever form it appears in your life. Psychosynthesis is also a psychology of human development, illuminating the different phases of how the self develops, and guiding the synthesis of our disparate parts, with the goal of becoming more whole as human beings. This is very important for coaching, which is about helping you actualise your potential through the activation of your will. At the same time, the depth dimensions of psychosynthesis enables the coach to deal with the clients barriers to success, often limiting mind-sets. Psychosynthesis works at sub-conscious and un-conscious levels which other coaching behavioural approaches only address superficially. Through Psychosynthesis Coaching you will find innovative solutions to problems providing stepping stones toward transformation.

I bring logic, enthusiasm and creativity in a collaborative approach that provide the essential elements of true innovation. I have decades of top level commercial experience combined with a unique robustness in the softer, more fluid aspects of change. My first professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant provided the foundations of understanding systems and controls, within a wide variety of different organisations, both in the private and public sectors. My career has taken me into short, medium and long term planning where I have led teams and developed the ability to support leaders at all levels plan and implement change by providing a vision in analytical and financial terms. I have a fine business brain and strong commercial acumen which I bring to my coaching relationships.
My Certificate in Education, with 10 years teaching experience in professional and adult education, opened emotional intelligence as well as an ability to communicate in a variety of different ways to support understanding and enhance learning.
Leadership Coaching draws together my earlier academic successes. Through psychosynthesis creativity has emerged within my well-established logical framework of understanding. All this culminates in a trifocal vision bringing a deep understanding that the evolution of groups and organisations requires work at an individual level as well as at the group or organisational level, with both at an inner and outer domain. Additionally I bring two decades worth of unique skills in complimentary well-being practices which I believe not only differentiates me from other Leadership Coaches but is a key skillset for evolutionary transformation. My personal experience is that ignoring any element of ones self may result in an imbalance and an inability to bring about the desired change.
