What is Coaching?

Coaching is a supportive, enabling, empowering relationship and activity that honours the autonomy, resourcefulness, creativity and responsibility of the client. It is goal, future or outcome oriented in purpose, and yet can include working with you in the domains of past as well as present to understand what may be hindering your potential. Psychosynthesis Coaching involves contracting with a qualified practitioner for 6 sessions of 1-2 hours duration over a 3 to 6 month period; one session every 2 to 4 weeks, tailored to your unfolding needs.

What is Psychosynthesis?

Psychosynthesis is a holistic model of psychology created by Roberto Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist and pioneer in the fields of humanistic and transpersonal psychology. It's a highly respected and well utilised model in psychotherapy. Assagioli evolved and integrated the theories of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung into his famous Psychosynthesis Egg, or map of the psyche. The simplicity of the map helps to identify where you are on your personal and professional development, and facilitates the progression through change, building resilience, relationship, and trust whilst addressing fears and blocks. The field of consciousness expands and we become more whole and authentic along the way. Don't underestimate its simplicity, its profound and infinite with its ongoing layers. Psychosynthesis provides a psycho-spiritual context and method that will help you work with issues of identity, purpose, meaning and values. It is a powerful coaching psychology that can help us connect with our inner resources, activate the will, strengthen our sense of self and develop our capacity for being in right relationship with others. It provides an accessible grammar for transformation through activating principles of wholeness and purpose, making it a living and evolving psychology for today. Psychosynthesis Coaching is an evolutionary professional relationship that responds to the emerging needs of individuals, leaders, organisations and society, integrating and absorbing the latest learning in psychology and related fields for example in neuroscience and neuropsychology, developmental psychology and integral philosophy, systemic and somatic coaching.

The Psychosynthesis Coach will focus on providing you with a supportive holding environment which assists you to realise your full potential and actualise yourself in the world. Additionally it can help you to address issues of identity, purpose, meaning and values and negotiate crisis in whatever form it appears in your life. Psychosynthesis is also a psychology of human development, illuminating the different phases of how the self develops, and guiding the synthesis of our disparate parts, with the goal of becoming more whole as human beings. This is very important for coaching, which is about helping you actualise your potential through the activation of your will. At the same time, the depth dimensions of psychosynthesis enables the coach to deal with the clients barriers to success, often limiting mind-sets. Psychosynthesis works at sub-conscious and un-conscious levels which other coaching behavioural approaches only address superficially. Through Psychosynthesis Coaching you will find innovative solutions to problems providing stepping stones toward transformation.
